Dearest Friends of Better Non Sequitur,
We feel it is our duty here at BNS headquarters to share with you, our loyal and trustworthy cohorts, something extremely terrible and so very awful that has taken place. We do warn, friends, that the information you're now so eager to munch through is not only shocking, dreadful, and very bad, but it is entirely true and real. That means that it really happened and that we're not lying. So here it is: Rubix Cube Dinner, a film we've been ranting about for months now, a film that was due out by Christmas of 2002, a film that would have received all sorts of crazy acclaim from everywhere if brought life, is dead. Someone killed it and IT'S SO DEAD IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY. OK, we admit that it's a little bit funny, but only because we think irony is funny, but this isn't Ha Ha funny, it's more like if-we-catch-you-laughing-at-us-we'll-so-kill-you funny. Because here's how it happened. The hard drive that everything was on suddenly, and without warning, crashed. That's right, it just stopped working, and we said, "Oh that's just great," and, "Well, shit." This means that everything on it, which was everything except the 8 bloody hours of tedious raw footage that we have on the original tapes, is gone gone gone forever. We're starting to suspect that God abhors our movie. Now now, you may be feeling as horrible as we do about this, and you have every right and reason to, but let's try to look at the brighter, more enjoyable side of things. What does this mean for Better Non Sequitur? It means that now we can focus on the publishing of Sandwich, another project we've been promising for a great while. Sandwich is in the works, people, and it will come out. We promise, all the files are backed up, no hard drive can stop us now. Nothing! Just be patient. And Jeremy Vaughan is fiercely in progress on some new kickass artwork for it. Think positive, our people, our precious boys and girls. Keep your heads up high! We can so hear you asking, weeping even, "What will become of Rubix Cube Dinner?" No need to fret completely, you warm and caring fans, because once Sandwich is done and out, which will occur eventually, we will begin the exhausting process of re-editing RCD. It won't be done for a while, but oh it shall be done. And then, we have many future projects in mind, but we've decided to keep most of them a secret until they are nearly finished and not gone forever. Until things start popping, we don't expect much to show up here except this letter. Please feel free to hate us, you jerk.
